The sea in front of Amaca has it all. Catch your first wave or chase the sunrise on a board with a local instructor who knows every sandbar. When the water wakes up like a mirror, head out on a paddle board along the coast, watching the clear bottom at your own pace. And for those who want to explore beyond the shore, there is kayaking and snorkeling in calm waters. All equipment is included so you can just focus on enjoying it.

A table on the sand, right as the sky lights up in oranges and pinks over the ocean. A three course menu prepared by our chef with the freshest local ingredients, while the sun sinks into the horizon. Surrounded by candles and the sound of the waves, enjoy an intimate evening with the best view of the bay. Includes appetizer, main course and dessert. In case of bad weather, dinner is enjoyed at the restaurant with the same charm.

Stars and bonfire

Far from city lights, Quimixto's sky fills with stars. Beside a bonfire on the sand, with the sound of the waves in the background, you sit and look up: constellations, shooting stars and, on clear nights, the entire Milky Way. A guide helps you read the sky. The perfect close to a day on the coast.

Whales, dolphins and manta rays

Banderas Bay is a nursery for humpback whales. From December through March they show up from the beach, from the terrace of your room and very often during the boat ride between Boca de Tomatlan and Quimixto: first the blow, then the tail and sometimes a full breach. Summer belongs to the dolphins that ride alongside the boats, and to the manta rays that leap at sunset. Sea turtles and schools of fish appear year round while you swim or snorkel in front of the hotel.
