Banderas Bay is a nursery for humpback whales: from December through March they show up from the beach, from the terrace of your room and very often during the boat ride between Boca de Tomatlan and Quimixto. Summer brings the dolphins that ride alongside the boats and the manta rays that leap at sunset. Sea turtles and schools of fish appear year round while you swim in front of the hotel.
